Acceptable use

  • Prohibited conduct
  • Reporting & enforcement

What you must not post

Part of the Terms of Use. Violations may be removed immediately.

  • Illegal material or services. Anything you do not have the legal right to give away, sell, transport, or dump. This includes, without limitation, unmanifested hazardous waste, regulated soils outside their permitted handling chain, asbestos-containing material outside an authorized abatement chain, materials covered by an environmental consent order, or stolen equipment.
  • Misleading or fake listings. Listings for material that does not exist, listings whose location is deliberately wrong, listings whose quantity or composition is knowingly misstated, or listings posted to harvest contact information from other users.
  • Other people's content without permission. Photos you do not have the right to use. Names, phone numbers, or addresses of people who have not authorized you to publish them.
  • Personal information of third parties. Do not post anyone else's contact information, government ID number, license plate, or similar personal data. The contact block on a listing is for the poster's own contact information only.
  • Discriminatory or harassing content. Listings or messages that harass, threaten, or discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
  • Sexual content, violence, or shock content. Not relevant to a jobsite materials marketplace and not welcome.
  • Spam, advertising, or off-topic listings. Listings for unrelated goods or services, generic ads, link farms, MLM recruiting, cryptocurrency promotion, etc.
  • Malware, phishing, or attempts to compromise users. Including links that lead to credential-harvesting pages, fake payment forms, or social-engineering schemes targeting other users on the site.

What you must not do

  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically copy listings or contact information for any purpose other than directly responding to a specific listing.
  • Use automated tools to flood the site with listings, edits, or requests.
  • Probe for vulnerabilities, attempt to access another poster's manage code, or otherwise circumvent the site's access controls.
  • Use someone else's manage code without their permission to edit or remove a listing.
  • Misrepresent your affiliation with any company, project, or government entity.

How to report a problem

If you see a listing that violates this AUP, use our contact form with the listing URL and a one-line description of the issue. We aim to review reports within a few business days. Repeat or egregious violations may be referred to law enforcement.

Enforcement

The operator may remove any listing or content the operator believes (in good faith) violates this AUP, the Terms of Use, or applicable law. The operator may also block specific posters or IP ranges from using the site. Decisions are at the operator's discretion.
